Thank you again to Threshold for the professional and detailed review of the A107 MAX Overhead Panel V3. Evaluation original text

We highly value your insights and user feedback, and we’d like to address the issues mentioned, along with our current solutions and future improvement plans:

1. Invalid QR Code for Setup

  • Root Cause: Our team made an operational error during file updates—unnecessarily deleting the original folder instead of replacing old files with new ones.
  • Resolved Actions: We immediately created a new folder, restored all configuration files, and uploaded them to the Rowsfire Resource Library for instant download. We’ve also proactively notified all existing customers of this update to ensure no one is affected.

2. Complex Initial Setup Process

  • Current Status: The setup still requires MobiFlight Connector and FSUIPC7 for now, as we finalize our proprietary driver software.
  • Upcoming Plans:
    • We will announce the new driver software next week, initially supporting integration with A106 V2 and A107 V3.
    • The first closed beta test will launch by the end of next week, covering A102 V2 (FBW/Fenix) and A107 V3 (Fenix). We will rapidly adapt other models after the beta.
    • The new driver will simplify setup to just three steps: open the software, select your panel model, and click "Run"—eliminating the current complexity for first-time users.

3. 3D-Printed Knobs with Visible Layer Lines

  • Background: Due to limited initial funding and the need to iterate on knob designs (moulds would lock in designs permanently), we used 3D printing for the Wiper, X BLEED, IRS, and OVHD INTEG LT knobs.
  • Improvement Timeline: We are now developing moulds for these knobs, with the fastest expected completion in mid-to-late December. This will match the refined craftsmanship of industry peers like WinWing.

4. Dim Backlighting (OVHD INTEG LT)

  • Root Cause: We previously adjusted the lighting to address user feedback about excessive glare, but this led to insufficient brightness in daytime use.
  • Solution in Progress: This issue will be resolved in the V3.1 update. We’ve produced samples with larger LED beads and enhanced panel transparency—current samples are brighter than V2 (too bright, in fact), and we’re fine-tuning to a level slightly lower than V2 for optimal balance.

5. Slight Wobble in General Switches (APU, Fuel, Battery)

  • Current Progress: While the V3 already improved significantly from V2’s severe wobble and unstable locking, minor wobble remains.
  • Fix Plan: The V3.1 update will introduce independent key frames, which isolate switches from direct contact with the panel. These frames will also provide structural support, eliminating wobble, key jamming, and potential panel sagging.

6. Missing Airbus-Style Light Covers

  • Challenges: The toggle switches have a "large head, small body" design, requiring flexible materials like silicone for proper fitting. 3D printing can’t achieve this reliably, and mould production would incur high costs.
  • Update: We are still exploring cost-effective solutions and welcome any suggestions from the community to recreate this authentic detail without compromising functionality or pricing.
We are committed to continuous improvement and deeply appreciate the trust from our users. All test versions will undergo rigorous internal testing before being released for public trials—please feel free to share any issues or suggestions during your experience, and we will respond promptly.

Thank you for your patience and support as we refine our products!
Best regards,
The Rowsfire Team
