FSElite Reviewed the Rowsfire B107.
Here's the Full Picture.

This post is our official response to a recent independent industry review of the B107. You can read our full official statement here: Rowsfire Official Response →
FSElite — one of the most established independent outlets in flight simulation media — recently published a detailed review of our B107 Boeing 737 Overhead Panel. We read it carefully, appreciated the professionalism, and took every point seriously.

This post does three things: it highlights what the reviewer genuinely praised, addresses the three main concerns raised with full engineering transparency, and gives you an honest view of our pricing. If you're considering the B107, this is the most complete picture available.

What FSElite praised — the genuine highlights

FSElite's review was critical in places, but it was also specific and fair. These are the aspects of the B107 that received clear recognition — direct quotes from the review itself.

PRAISED · BUILD
Aluminium shell — sturdy and weighty
The reviewer specifically called out the metal enclosure as a genuine positive — describing it as "a nice sturdy metal shell" and "certainly a weighty bit of kit." At 2.8kg, the B107 has the physical presence of serious hardware.
"The unit itself is cased in a nice sturdy metal shell."
— FSElite Review
PRAISED · SOFTWARE
Rowsfire App — vastly improved over MobiFlight era
The reviewer noted our proprietary software as a meaningful step forward — setup took only a few minutes, and the improvement over the previous Google Drive / MobiFlight workflow was explicitly acknowledged.
"It's much easier… it is a vast improvement over the previous solution."
— FSElite Review
PRAISED · FEATURE
EGT gauge — genuinely impressive
The animated EGT pressure gauge received clear praise as a standout feature — described as "genuinely really cool" to watch climb in real time alongside the simulator. This remains one of the most distinctive features of the B107.
"It is genuinely really cool to see the pressure gauge climb up in real time."
— FSElite Review
PRAISED · FUNCTION
Real-time sim response — fuel pumps, anti-ice, pressurisation
Most switches responded correctly and in real time. The reviewer specifically cited fuel pump switches, anti-ice indicators, and the pressurisation altitude window as functioning as intended during flight.
"It was cool to see the fuel pump switches react realistically during flight."
— FSElite Review
Our read on the praise These aren't throwaway positives — the reviewer is experienced and critical. When FSElite calls the EGT gauge "genuinely really cool" and the software "a vast improvement," those are meaningful endorsements from a publication that doesn't deal in soft language.

What the B107 is — for context

Before addressing the criticisms, it's worth establishing what the B107 actually delivers.

The B107 is the most comprehensive Boeing 737 overhead panel available to home sim pilots anywhere in the market today. It covers nearly the full overhead system layout: fuel, electrical, hydraulics, bleed air, anti-ice, pressurisation, fire suppression, lighting controls, and more — 58 switches, 10 rotary knobs, and 4 protective covers across a panel that weighs 2.8kg.

At $699.99 with free global shipping, the B107 occupies a specific position: it is not the cheapest overhead panel on the market, and it was never positioned as such. The reviewer is right that the price point raises the bar for what customers should expect — and we accept that responsibility fully.

The three main concerns — our engineering response

FSElite raised several concerns in the review. We address the three most significant ones here with full transparency — what caused them, what we've done, and what customers can expect.

Pitot Heat switch inoperative on some early units FULLY RESOLVED
What happened: A small number of early-batch units experienced a pitot heat switch failure. Root cause analysis identified two contributing factors: solder joint contact with VESA mounting studs on the metal casing in rare cases, and potential impact during transportation.

Scale: We received reports from 5 customers out of the total units shipped — a very small proportion. All 5 cases were successfully resolved. The current occurrence rate across all subsequent units is 0.

What we've done: Strengthened QC inspection procedures for critical components, introduced transportation simulation testing (shock and vibration), and optimised internal insulation design. This issue is fully resolved in all current production units.

If you are affected: Contact service@rowsfire.com. We offer three resolution options: $30 compensation + official repair video guidance (recommended, quick and simple); local technician repair; or full unit replacement. We will work with you to find the best solution.
Surface scratches and metal edge finishing IMPROVED IN PRODUCTION
On surface finish: All units ship with a protective film applied. In most cases, removing the film reveals a clean, unscratched surface. For transit-related issues, we have upgraded the overall packaging structure and added enhanced surface protection layers. Current shipments are highly unlikely to experience surface damage in transit.

On metal edge finishing: Enhanced edge deburring and surface treatment are now standard in our production process. Our QC team inspects each panel before shipping. The metal enclosure remains one of the B107's core strengths — at 2.8kg, it has the weight and rigidity of serious hardware.
Knob tactile feel and 360° brightness knob design IN DEVELOPMENT
On knob quality: Three knobs are still in refinement. All others have been upgraded to custom-moulded designs with improved tactile feedback, resistance consistency, and long-term durability. This is an ongoing process and each revision raises the bar.

On the 360° brightness knob: This design is intentional — it uses a rotary encoder, which is required for compatibility with PMDG event input systems. The continuous rotation is a technical necessity, not an oversight. That said, we are actively exploring limited-range potentiometer solutions with firmware updates, and potential collaboration with PMDG for potentiometer input support.

Future direction: Bespoke Boeing-profile switches (landing lights, navigation lights) are on our product roadmap. They require significant tooling investment — we will deliver them in a future hardware revision.

What verified customers are saying — the broader picture

FSElite captures one reviewer's experience. Across hundreds of verified purchasers, the picture is wider. Here's what customers who received and used the B107 are reporting.

What customers who ordered are actually saying

The FSElite review represents one reviewer's experience with one unit. We think it's equally important to share what verified purchasers have said — including customers who were initially critical.

Rowsfire B107 B737 Overhead Panel-Presale - Rowsfire107! Love everything about it" — Rowsfire Facebook Community

"Let me start off first by apologizing to the company. I posted some not so friendly stuff waiting for the product to arrive. Not that it is here, I'm totally shocked on how well it's made. The overhead panel is all metal. No plastic. The software they supply works right out of the box... In my opinion this is a thousand dollar overhead."
— James, verified B107 purchaser
"I am thoroughly impressed with my panel. It is solid, well built and works with MobiFlight out of the box. The functionality is great and it really delivers on its promises, highly recommended!"
— Ben Dews, verified B107 purchaser
"Arrived with no damage, packaged very professionally. The feel isn't plasticky or cheap but feels like something worth way more. It works out of the box with one USB — that is very good. The fact that you can mount it to a 100×100mm VESA stand makes it even better."
— Stanisław C., verified B107 purchaser
"Good quality. Nice price. Does the job perfectly. Easy to install. No problem with delivery."
— MB, verified B107 purchaser
"Great piece of hardware for sim. Few little hiccups but the Rowsfire team is working on fixes or already have them. Contacting support was simple and very quick to respond."

Community builds — the B107 in real cockpits

The full picture The B107 has shipped to hundreds of customers across MSFS and X-Plane setups worldwide. 75% of verified reviewers give it 5 stars. Early production feedback — including from independent reviewers — has directly shaped improvements already in production today. Every B107 shipping now reflects those improvements.

Also noted by FSElite — a quote worth highlighting

Buried in the critical review is a line that deserves to stand on its own:

"It could be years before we see a competitor deliver on an overhead at a reasonable price point."
— FSElite Review, March 2026

We agree. The B107 is not perfect. But it is currently the most complete and accessible B737 overhead panel the home sim market has. That is the context in which every criticism and every improvement should be understood.

Community and ongoing support

The B107 ships with access to the Rowsfire ecosystem — a 3,000+ member Facebook community and a Discord server with dedicated B737 channels, pre-built MobiFlight profiles, and real-time help from pilots running the same hardware.

Firmware updates are free and ongoing

The B107's functionality is updated continuously through the Rowsfire App. The wiper mapping issue and pressurisation delay noted in the review are both software-addressable — and we are addressing them. Every customer who buys today benefits from every update shipped going forward.

FSElite's own broader verdict on Rowsfire

Separately from the B107 review, FSElite has written the following about Rowsfire as a brand:

"As a standout new brand of 2025, Rowsfire has delivered high-quality, budget-friendly overhead panels that are a game-changer for the flight simulation community."
— FSElite on Rowsfire as a brand

On the price — our honest position

Pricing was a central point in the FSElite review. We want to be fully transparent about where the B107 sits and why.

Early Bird
$559
Pre-sale price
Standard (10% off)
~$630
Ongoing discount
Current price
$593
Recently reduced

The $699.99 retail price reflects real hardware R&D costs, small-batch production realities, and the ongoing support and service we provide to every customer. This is not a high-margin product. The B107 is produced in smaller volumes than mass-market peripherals, which means per-unit costs are genuinely higher.

With the current 10% sitewide discount, the B107 is available at $593 — and for customers who purchased during the early-bird period, prices went as low as $559. We are continuously working to make our products more accessible as production scales.

The market reality FSElite itself noted: "It could be years before we see a competitor deliver on an overhead at a reasonable price point." The B107 is currently the most complete and accessible B737 overhead panel available to home sim pilots anywhere. That context matters when evaluating the price.
