How to Use Rowsfire A107 Panel with Other Flight Sim Hardware

Some users may experience issues when using the Rowsfire A107 Overhead Panel together with other flight simulation hardware and software. Typical symptoms include:

  • The A107 panel does not respond in MSFS2020

  • Rowsfire App and MobiFlight cannot run at the same time

  • After updating firmware, MobiFlight asks to reload Arduino

  • Uncertainty about whether Rowsfire App and MobiFlight should run together

In most cases, this is not a hardware problem, but a COM port conflict.

1. Symptoms

Users often run a complex setup including multiple devices such as:

  • WinWing hardware (EFIS / FCU / Throttle / MCDU)

  • Thrustmaster joystick

  • StreamDeck

  • Logitech rudder pedals

  • Rowsfire A107 Overhead Panel

At the same time, several software tools may be running:

  • Rowsfire App

  • MobiFlight

  • WinWing SimAppPro

  • StreamDeck Software

This can lead to:

  • The panel not responding

  • Software failing to connect to the device

  • Controls not working in MSFS

2. Cause

The most common reason is a COM port (Serial Port) conflict.

The A107 Overhead Panel communicates through a USB serial port. If both:

  • Rowsfire App

  • MobiFlight

try to access the same COM port, Windows will only allow one program to connect at a time.

The other program will fail to communicate with the device, which can appear as if the software is incompatible.

3. Solutions

You can use one of the following setups.

Option 1: Use the Rowsfire App

Recommended startup order:

  1. Start Rowsfire App and connect the A107 panel

  2. Confirm the connection is successful

  3. Start other software such as:

    • WinWing SimAppPro

    • StreamDeck Software

  4. Launch MSFS2020

Important:
If you are using the Rowsfire App, do not allow MobiFlight to connect to the same COM port.

Option 2: Use MobiFlight Only

If you prefer using MobiFlight:

  • Do not run the Rowsfire App

  • Control the A107 panel using MobiFlight with the MCC configuration file

4. Summary

If the A107 Overhead Panel is not responding in MSFS, the issue is usually caused by:

Multiple programs trying to access the same COM port.

To resolve this:

  • Use either Rowsfire App or MobiFlight to control the A107 panel

  • Avoid having both programs connect to the device at the same time

  • Adjust the software startup order if necessary
